Rootbound: Breaking Free from a Discipleship Ecosystem That Hinders Connection with God (E-Book)
$13.95
There is no doubt that the mission of the church is to make disciples. There is also no question that much of a church’s time and resources are spent on what seem to most Christians to be either part of making disciples or necessary to the task. But is that true? Are the activities and practices of most churches effective and necessary in making disciples? This book explores that claim and follows Wayman’s two previous books on discipleship: Discipleship Ecosystem and Toxic Discipleship.
About Denny Wayman:
Denny Wayman served 40 years as a lead pastor and eight years as a superintendent. His education concentrated on human behavior in his MDiv and pastoral counseling in his DMin. Accepting the mission of Jesus Christ to “make disciples”, his ministry focused on this most important and therefore most difficult responsibility. In Discipleship Ecosystem, Dr. Wayman took his systems training and applied it to a healthy discipleship ministry. In his next volume, Toxic Discipleship, he has again taken the lessons of systems and exposes the dynamics of a toxic discipleship ministry. Married to a licensed therapist, Denny and Cheryl live in Santa Barbara, Ca. They share two sons and five grandchildren.
